Celeste has delivered her second litter.  There are six kittens, 4 males, 2 females. The father was GC Shanooks Boba Fett. Pictures can be seen on the kitten page.

 The Cat Fanciers Federation has tallied up their year end totals and sent out Regional and National Awards.........
Anakin entered the first show of the season as a kitten so he did not earn any points towards national totals in that show but for all the rest of the shows he entered as an adult and he won several awards:
8th Best Cat Nationwide and 8th Best Cat in the Eastern Region
2nd Best Maine Coon Nationwide and 2nd Best Maine Coon Eastern Region
Best Brown Tabby with White Maine Coon Nationwide

Boba also earned several awards. He was not old enough to go to the first show this season and he was a kitten for the next 4 shows and an adult for the last two shows. Entering only 4 shows as a kitten he was able to earn enough kitten points to Be rated the 4th best kitten in the Nation and the Eastern Region. Entering only two shows as an Adult he was able to be rated the 12th best cat National and the Best Red Tabby with White Maine Coon Cat.
We are very proud of both Boba and Anakin for doing so well in their first year of showing!

April 25th, 2004
 Last show of the season, South Attleboro Mass.  Anakin and Boba both working towards grand Champion Titles. Anakin finalled 3 out of 4 rings(2nd, 2nd and 3rd) on Saturday earning 34 points putting him way over the top (he only needed 5 to Grand) He confirmed as a new Grand Champion on Saturday night and we decided to let him stay home on Sunday and have a day off!
Boba Entered the show Saturday with only 37 points (out of 150 needed) so we hoped just to get him closer and maybe get his Grand title next season........ Saturday he finaled in all 4 rings (1st,2nd,7th and 8th) gaining another 44 points. After calculating that it was mathmatically possible to get enough points on Sunday to become a grand we decided to bring him back and try it. Again he finaled in all four rings (2nd,3rd,3rd and 6th) earning a whopping 76 points. Added to the 44 on saturday and the 37 from the last show he now has 157....GRAND CHAMPION!
We are very exited to announce both Anakin and Boba are now the first Grand Champions to carry the Shanooks name.

April 4th, 2004
 Anakin and Boba both went to the cat show in Rochester NH this weekend and both did very well. Anakin won 3 more ribbons (1st, 4th and 8th) but fell just 5 points shy of earning his Grand Championship. One more show left in the season so he should make it this season!) Boba entered this show as an adult for the first time. He earned his winners ribbons on Saturday and attained the title of Champion, He also finaled twice and won ribbons for 5th and 10th best cat. He was confirmed a Champion Saturday night and went on Sunday to start earning points towards his Grand Championship. Sunday he finalled 3 more times (4th, 4th and 9th) and is now well on his way to becoming a Grand.

March 6th, 2004
 Padme delivered her first litter of kittens . 4 Boys and 1 girl. All have been spoken for and (as of May 23rd)have all gone to new homes. Anakin is the sire to the litter ......this was his first litter and all the kittens are adorable!

February 27th, 2004
 Celeste delivered her first liter of kittens (5 days early) and due to their prematurity we lost all but one. After this heart wrenching experience we have decided to cut back our breeding program even further and get back to having just a couple breeding pairs.
The one surving kitten from the litter will be neutered and be staying with us as a pet. With all we went through to save him we just couldn't let him go.  Look for pictures of Shanooks Darth Vader in the boys section soon.
November 23rd, 2003: Padme went with Anakin and Boba to a catshow in Rhode Island this weekend. She received her winners ribbons and now has the title of CHAMPION!
Anakin and Boba had to be pulled from their first judging rings because someone got carsick in the carrier and they both needed emergency baths.
Anakin still finalled in 6 of the remaining 7 rings and Boba got ribbons in 4 of the remaining 7 rings. Anakin has now earned 3/4 of the points needed to receive the title of Grand Champion. See photos from the R.I. show

October 20th, 2003
 Anakin and Boba both attended the show this weekend sponsored by UMCCA, The United Maine Coon Cat Association. And the turnout was great....57 kittens of which 35 were Maine Coons and 44 adults, 24 of which were Maine Coons.
Boba received a 10th, one 3rd, two 2nd's and one 1st place ribbon including 2 best of breeds and 2 second best of breeds!
Anakin won ribbons for 9th, 8th, 7th, 4th and 3rd including 2 second best of breeds! Anakin is halfway to earning his Grand Championship Title!

 We brought home a new female this weekend. Special thanks to Vicki Shipp of Tallshipp Cattery in Georgia, for trusting us with this new kitten.  Marie-Celeste is a blue and white bi-color. She is very long lean and solid, nice type, big ears, nice muzzle and a very goofy playful personality!  Check out her webpage here: Celeste

 Anakin and Boba both went to another show this weekend and did very well.  Anakin took two 4th place and two 3rd place ribbons which includes one best of breed and three 2nd best of breeds.
Boba received one 5th place and two 1st place ribbons in the kitten class, two best of breeds and one 2nd best of breed!  Anakin is one his way toward receiving his Grand Championship and Boba is showing alot of potential!

September 8th, 2003
 Took Boba Fett to his first cat show and Anakin to his first in the Adult Class. Boba won ribbons for one 10th place, two 7th places, one 6th and one 2nd place. He also won best of breed in one ring out of a class of 18 maine coon kittens.
Anakin collected his 4 winners ribbons on saturday, earning him the title of CHAMPION and on sunday won a 9th place ribbon and second best of breed out of 17 Maine Coon adults!
We also took Riggs to this show as a Household Pet and he received ribbons for one 10th, two 8th's, one 7th, two 3rd's and one 1st place!

 Took Anakin to his first show this weekend. He did very well. He finalled in 7 out of 9 judging rings. Receiving ribbons for 9th best kitten, one 5th best , two 4th bests, two 2nd bests, and one Best Kitten! He also was Best of Breed in five of those rings. Show photos

 Tahiri's first litter was born. Two males, two females. CH. Maine-Made Jar Jar Binks of Shanooks is the sire.

 We have moved to Dover, NH . All the cats made the transition very well and have adapted nicely.

  Tahiri earned the title of Champion and Zam received ribbons as the BEST Maine Coon Kitten and 2nd Best Allbreed Kitten at the CFF Show in Bath Maine sponsored by United Maine Coon Cat Association(UMMCA).

 Riggs earned the title of Champion in the Alter Class at the CFF show in Laconia NH.

January 27th, 2002
 CFA NHFF Show in Dover NH.  Binks earned more points towards his Grand Champion Title and for the second year in a row, He won the spectators choice award for Best Longhair Cat at the show (out of 114 longhair entries).  CFA New Hampshire Feline Fanciers Cat show in Dover, NH : We Championed  Binks, Trooper & Jezzy all this weekend !   Binks  also, with more than 500 votes cast, won the Spectator's choice award !
