This picture was taken in 2004 on the Hampton Beach ocean wall. I had
purchased a
mountain bike and was taking a nice ride from Hampton to Odiorne State Park
in Portsmouth.
I also like to bike with my daughter Kelly on Cape Cod. They have
beautiful trails just for
bikers.
- All the animals below
are "recycled" and were purchased at auctions. Many are from
estates or road kills.

I have collected antiques for years.
The prices have gone crazy as well as they are harder and harder
to find. I love having "old" things that have survived time and now
I am saving them for someone
else today. People from that era would be amazed to see what "electronics"
have taken their place.
I felt animals on the wall needed to be in a log cabin. I used to
heat with wood occasionally but now I have the wood stove just in case.
If gas lines were to be put in, I put in a gas wood stove. I
don't see
that happening too soon. The cabinet was an old one that I stained
a dark color. I got so tired of it, so
when I moved here in 1994 I primed it, painted it and then added some stenciling.
My TV and
stereo system are in this cabinet. I liked how it came out.
The bottles above the window add some nice colors when the sun shines and
the painted saw my mom and I found when we were antiquing. Living in
this log cabin is very relaxing... you just have to put
your feet up and enjoy. I have an outside microphone, so when I want
to relax, I turn it on and hear
the birds outside at my feeders singing all day and I have a water jug that
I sometimes turn on for the
sound of running water as well. It is a nice way to waste time.
