The Ensemble, founded in 1984 by David E. Phinney, is dedicated to adult music education and the tradition of performing bands which characterized the John Philip Sousa era. The all volunteer ensemble includes over 60 adult members who create the distinct and robust “wind ensemble”. Instruments included are the bassoon, clarinet, euphonium, flute, French horn, harp, oboe, percussion, piccolo, saxophone, trombone, trumpet and tuba. The 50-piece concert band is dedicated to the tradition of performing bands from the John Philip Sousa era. They will present a varied repertoire of music that can be enjoyed by the entire family.
