Crary Waterfalls and Aquatic Nursery will work closely with you to design the perfect waterscape for your home or business. We creatively produce a computer generated design, enabling you to envision the placement of your waterfall. We use natural materials and biological stone filters, ensuring clear water. Our pools have ecological filtration systems which require no harsh chemicals or complicated filter replacement. This unique concept was designed by Crary Waterfalls, and has over 10 years of proven reliability.
Each waterfall is self-contained, with a high-quality submersible pump to circulate the water. The fall can be designed as a small, spring-like trickle or a cascade crashing on stone. Heights range from 2 inches to over 10 feet.
The pool at the base of the fall will support a variety of flowering bog plants and water lilies, which are available from our nursery. Depths vary from "waterless" pools (safe for young children), to deep pools perfect for goldfish and koi. A pool with a depth of only two feet will support koi and goldfish year round - even through the harshest New England winters.
With the right environment and genetic background, koi can grow up to three feet in length. We have discovered that when fish have a place to hide from predators, it decreases their stress, which in turn lowers incidence of disease and promotes breeding. An island in the pool provides this "safe" place. Your island can consist of a simple ledge for the fish to hide under, or an underwater tunnel for them to swim through. We use slabs of granite for the islands, then cover them with plants and grasses to continue the natural look of the pool.
Night lighting can illuminate your waterfall, increasing enjoyment while providing additional security for your home or business. We also specialize in night lighting of trees and walkways, which adds a dramatic dimension to your property.
