This picture was taken in 2010 on the Falling Waters
Trail in Franconia, NH. I had just finished doing the Canopy Tour
at Bretton Woods which was a
lot of fun.
All
the animals below are "recycled" and were
purchased at auctions. Many are from estates or road
kills.

I have collected antiques for
years. I love having "old" things that have survived time and now
I am saving them for someone
else today. People from that era would be amazed to see what
"electronics" have taken their place.
I felt animals on the wall needed to be in a log cabin.
The cabinet was an old one that was stained a dark color. I got
so tired of it, so
when I moved here in 1994 I primed it, painted it and then added some
stenciling.
The bottles above the window add some nice colors when the sun shines
and the painted saw my mom and I found when we were
antiquing. Living in this log cabin is very relaxing... you just
have to put
your feet up and enjoy. I sold this cabin in 2009, I am happy
where I am now, but I do miss the quiet of the cabin.
Sometimes life has a way of changing things that are not in our
control, be positive anyways.
