Hi my name is Stephen - thanks for stopping by my page.  I am an 12th grade student in New Hampshire.  I was born in Idaho and moved here when I was 10. I enjoy fixing mechanical and electrical devices and have repaired several older and more modern appliances. I also like to find how things work and will take things apart to better understand them.

I first became interested in computers when I was 3 years old.  When I was in grade school I relished the thought of the computer crashing because I could fix it. I have a couple of different kinds of computers. I use an IBM Thinkpad 365xd laptop to do my school work, an old Dell to cruise the internet and  an Apple Macintosh Plus. Unfortunately I do not have a system disk so I can't do much with it. Finally I have an HP85B microcomputer which needs a new printer belt but otherwise works beautifully. I use all forms of  MS Windows from 3.11 to XP and am adept at solving most software (and hardware) problems.

I play trombone in marching band, concert band and Jazz band. I began  playing when I was in 5th grade. Our band goes on trips every few years and plays in competitions. Last year we went to Six Flags New England and won first place. The year before we went to Hershey, Pennsylvania. This year we played in Ontario, Canada. Generally our band is very good. It would be much better if people were more motivated.

My grandfather gave me an old jukebox that has been refurbished. The juke box is 50 years old and is in excellent condition.   He also gave us lots of records, so I am constantly changing out the tunes in the jukebox.  I like most types of music, however my favorite is classic rock.

One of my favorite hobbies is collecting old radios.  I like to restore them to working order.  I enjoy searching for old radios at antique stores. Unfortunately my Mom doesn't always appreciate what I bring home.

 I have a large coin collection that consists of both U.S. and foreign coins. I inherited a penny collection which contains several valuable coins to which I have added considerably. I also have a collection of silver certificates and other currencies.

I have always been a good student in school.  I consider math to be my favorite topic. Next year I will be taking Pre-calculus. I also like the sciences and am taking both Physics and Chemistry as well. I enjoy reading Science fiction and historical facts. My favorite book is 1984, by George Orwell. My favorite movie is The Andromeda Strain.
