Hi, Teri here. Welcome to my page.  John Lennon once quoted, "Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans"; isn't that the truth?! Most days I can't remember what I've had for breakfast and if you ask me what book I am reading I probably won't remember the author, title, plot; let alone where the book even is at the moment. Luckily I have written down my children's names and ages.....somewhere...so  I can tell you about them.....on second thought.....see the links at the bottom of the page.

I love to do a variety of activities and if they are outdoors you can bet that they are on my list. New Hampshire is a great place to be if you are an outdoors type. Some of my  favorite activities include hiking in the White Mountains, fishing in the streams and lakes, ice skating , snow shoeing and downhill skiing. I am one of those strange types that enjoys yard work and plants what ever might potentially grow. I am a dog person and like to go for outdoor strolls on sunny afternoons. In the past I have enjoyed going through obedience school with  Boxers and  I am still drawn to 4H dog shows at the Fair. Last but not least I love to photograph whatever comes to mind. I usually have a camera handy and especially love taking shots of  kids, animals and the great outdoors.

In addition to outdoor activities I do have indoor  favorites when it's just too darn cold or hot to be outside. I am an avid reader and enjoy a variety of authors. I love a good murder mystery and especially appreciate authors such as Patricia Cornwell, Kathy Reich, John Sanford and Janet Evanovich. I enjoy biographies and non fiction books pertaining to psychology, business and comparative religions. I  am an armchair mountain climber and love reading about adventures such as, Into Thin Air or Not Without Peril. If you've got a book to recommend I will most likely want to read it.

While my outdoor passion is fishing my indoor passion without a doubt is bread-baking. My paternal grandmother taught me from about the age of 9 years how to make a good cinnamon roll and over the years many other things as well. Bread baking is somewhat skill but mostly for those of us who "know", a way to maintain one's sanity. There is nothing quite like mixing up a batch of dough and then beating the tar out of it with your own two hands. What a great stress reliever AND it's legal AND you have something to show for when you are quite done! Over the years I have experimented with International breads and I am always looking for a new recipe to try or change to my liking. As with reading and books, if you have a recipe for a good bread I will most likely want to try it.

Another favorite past time for me includes listening to music. I enjoy classic rock, classical, easy listening, some country and good piano music. When I was younger I played clarinet, saxophone and guitar. Last year I began learning the trumpet with my daughter. We have a lot of fun and I find that I still stink at reading and counting music. Some things just  never change.
