Verse 2
Still recovering from my wounds I awoke that next night to the smells of horrible cooking. Somebody has to teach these people how to eat, but since I didn't feel like cooking myself I settled for my rations. After dinner, Valisia discovered that that Ne'stahsia had disappeared, Aalaysia_Silverain, Valisia and a rouge who wraps himself in the warmest of clothes named Gregol went out looking for her as the rest of us prepared to rest. Gregol must have returned sometime in the night for there he awoke with us. Valisia returned later that morning without Ne'stahsia and Aalaysia, extremely frustrated and annoyed. Aalaysia soon also returned without Ne'stahsia. Worried, me, Gregol, and Aalaysia went back into the woods in search of her. We soon lost Aalaysia to the forest as well. Gregol and I turned back around dinner time, angry that she was still missing. When we returned there had been no sign of Aalaysia as well. We also learned that Cahir had made arangements with the Caravan Master to stay that day, at the cost of half of Ne'Stahsia's and Aalaysia's pay. Determined to find those 2, me and Gregol gathered up our gear to search some more, when they FINALLY returned. They had been taking some sort of bad herbs because they were tripping on something awful, and Ne'Stahsia had become very mean spirited and arogant, especially to me. So bad was she that she had cracked awful jokes at my expense all night long.
Early the next morning as I was trying to prepare an elegant breakfast the caravan master decided that he wanted to leave right at that moment. So off we went yet again, my poor meal under cooked and my pan filthy. The day had been quite uneventful, except that the herbs Ne'Stahsia had been on, must not had worn off yet, because she continued to insult my race some more. Later in the afternoon, we came across a patrol of Paladins that the elven ladies of the party immediately went into flirting with the leader. Sometimes I wonder if they're along for the glory of the adventuring life, or the men they meet? Also during the day, a group of warriors met our caravan along the road, and showed particular interest in Cahir. He also showed an interest in some sort of stone that he possessed, and offered a great deal of gems for it, but something about him seemed to put Cahir at at ill ease, to say the least. He left soon after to ride on ahead to Harshall and promised to cross our paths there again. Afterwards the caravan master stopped futher ahead along the road and gave everybody the option of heading ahead if they wanted to. We all choose to leave the caravan in instead of an extra 2 gold for an extra days guard duty. Late in the evening we arrived at the community of Harshall, where we discovered that a festival to the god of Night was occuring, everybody was dressed in black, and quite peaceful... too peaceful. This place gives me the creeps big time. Ne'stahsia took off to some barn in the distance, playing some music, where else would a bard go given the situation. The rest of us, went in search for a room, for the night.
Thus ending this verse for the night as I turn in for the night to warm blankets and a huge bed for a gnome.
