The Adventures of Decker the Gnome

The Fabled City of Evest

Verse 10

It was not long until we arrived at Evest.  We didn't encounter much along the way, only a griffin a ways off, whose tracks we passed by and some of the native elves of Evest, pink eyed and quite pale for elves, by the way they treat Dulgos, I'd say that he is a very important person among his kind, and it appears most of the party would agree with that opinion. Arriving shortly after most of us crawled into Evest with the expection of some of the shorter members of our group.

Evest is a small city nestled inside a cavern, enclosed by rock.  Light is let into the city via slits in the ceiling that reflects off of white flakes in the rock itself.  In the cavern itself lie a multitude of wooden buildings and farmed squares of land.  Moss and vines grow on most everything, giving it a very earthy look to the whole place. Below trails in the dirt lead to a bustling marketplace and an inlet to the ocean. Quickly our party split off to wander the city, some for the chance to party, explore, and have fun, and some of us, to search for a way to free Gregol of his affliction.

Ne'Stahsia and Aalaysia had good luck finding things of interest in the city, while Binkley, Gregol and I had no luck finding anything that could help Gregol in the least.

Nightfall soon befell the town.   Torches lit along the walls cast the town in an eerie red and yellow glow, giving it a demonic and evil appearance.  Having no luck I desided to return to Dulgos's home, which he kindly pointed out to us as we arrived, Gregol and Binkley agreeing with me on the idea.

So as I returned to Dulgos's house not knowing what evils were to come I close this verse of my travels.
