Evolution of the Sub-Races

Knowledge available to those with Ancient History and Religion

In the beginning the Dragons ruled Andaria.  Created from the fiery 
blood of Prynn they were first to learn of anger, hate, and violence.  
Originally all dragons hated each other and sought to kill each other to
be the favorite of the goddess who created them.

The Dway were the earth dwelling race of Kronos.  From the earth they 
learned how to make the most of the soil and the treasures that it 
offered.  Being a longer lived race than the surface dwelling Andorian’s,
and less prone to temper like the Dragons, they learned how to harvest 
the earth into minerals and metals that they could hoard for its beauty 
and usefulness.

The Andorians were by far, the smartest and least controlled by their 
instincts.  They learned how to create fire from rocks and trees, and 
crafted an invention called the wheel which made work much easier.  
Being short lived and vulnerable to the elements and the Dragons, they 
also learned to make buildings out of stone and wood for protection, and
how to hunt the mammals, reptiles, and fish as food.

As time passed the 3 intelligent races evolved and grew in wisdom and 
knowledge.  Some of the Dragons learned that their violence was getting 
them nowhere and split from the savage dragons in order to save their 
kind from a quickly approaching extinction. They were called the 
Metallic Dragons for their scales resembled the metals of the Dway. The 
savage dragons became the Chromatic Dragons for their colors remained 
pure like the first dragons.

The Dway also though still called the Dway evolved unique tastes and 
apperances.  The pure Dway remained in their rocky earth homes. The 
second group of Dway stayed in between the earth and the surface for it 
was said that they enjoyed the smells of the surface, but still lusted 
for the stones of the underground.  The third group became surface 
dwellers that lived in earthen homes.  They came to the surface to feel 
the clean earth and the grass between their toes.

The Andorians also evolved.  As they expanded across the plains some 
began to settle in the forests where life first began.  These Andorians 
started living longer lives for the forests lent them the magic of 
longevity.  These Andorians were shunned by their short-lived cousins 
and thus came to be known as the Elves which was the Andorian word for 
tree folk.

The Chromatic Dragons, observing the other races began to corrupt them 
and make them into their servants.  These corrupted Andorians, Dway, and
Elves, soon became beastly in appearance and became goblin, hobgoblin, 
kobold, troll, gnoll, flind, lizard man, and worse.
