The Time of Turmoil
Part 2: The Great Dragon Wars



In the Elven Year 17437 began what would be known to history as the 
Great Dragon Wars.  The Chromatic Dragons and the Metallic Dragons 
waged wars in the sky destroying the lands and each other in furious 
battles that would last for days on end.  The land was stained with the 
blood of their kind and the Noble Metallic Dragons were loosing.

The Elves united and began to aid the Metallic Dragons in secret, but 
were soon discovered by the Chromatic dragons and they too became 
targets of the rage of the mighty dragons.  As a first sign of their 
immense power, the Chromatic Dragons sent the Red Dragons to Willowwood,
the capital city of the elven people and destroyed it and the 
surrounding forests around it without mercy.

Over the time of 24 years, the elves lost 12 homes, and have been pushed
back out of their homeland across the Zennith Mountains.  The Andorians 
ally with the Elven people, and give them a new home which the elves 
name Revinar (or Rebirth).  Shortly after the elves settle their new 
home, a child is born to the Andorians named Olan Draymir, who would 
become a savior of the people.

Small groups of elven swordsmiths, working in secret for the past 70 
years, complete a powerful sword known as the Nexus, a mighty 
DragonSlayer sword.  The Chromatic Dragons Lords learn of the creation 
of this sword and attack the hidden smithy killing 4 of the 6 
swordsmiths, but the sword is already gone.  A hunt begins for the Nexus
by both Dragon and elven kind.  

8 years later, Alkin Soulheart, one of the 6 elven swordsmiths is found 
critically wounded in the forest by a paladin.  Alkin passes the Nexus 
onto Olan Draymir, a Paladin of Lord Martin of Blackstorm Keep.  In the 
years that follow, Olan defeats Cartan the Black, Securbin the Red, 
Larg the White, and Promeric the Green Dragon, becoming the first 
Dragonslayer Paladin.

After 118 years of war, dragonkind is on the verge of extinction.  The 
leaders of each of the Chromatic and Metallic Dragons meet in a secret 
location and create a magical pact that ends the Great Dragon Wars, and 
binds all of Dragonkind to a special code of conduct and interaction 
between the lesser races.
