The Time of Turmoil
Part 4: The Uncertain Time



The people enjoyed an unsteady peace for 94 years past Olan’s death.  
The dragons, too weakened by their own conflicts had nearly doomed 
themselves to extinction, while their evil corruption scattered, mostly 
to the northlands and begun to settle in the ruins of the elven cities, 
and formed tribes and nomadic bands to survive.

The Andorians and the Elves started to rebuild their great cities, and 
establish trade routes between themselves and the earth dwelling Dway. 
Soon fabulous new inventions and magic was being discovered, and the 
great elven wizards were learning how to combine technology and magic 
together to make even more power devices.

During this time of invention and enlightenment though, the sages of old
were foretelling darker times ahead for the land, though only few would h
heed their warning.  It wasn’t until the elven year of 17720 that the 
Evil humanoids of the north began to prove that the sages were indeed 
correct by returning back to the southern lands to destroy those who 
would push them from their homes.

It would be later learned that the evil humanoids’ attack was 
masterminded by a man whose name history only records as "The One" or 
"The Dark One".
