The arquebus

A weapon whose existance is questioned is the arquebus.  Said to be a 
long wooden and metal pole which projects iron balls using blackpowder, 
only one of these as ever been seen in the lands in the possession of 
a nomad who visited the castle of Isingbal some 12 years ago when he 
killed an armored guard in platemail by firing one of the balls through 
the man's breastplate.  The man was eventually released, though his 
weapon was never recovered.
