HOME>12/17/03 - Gorham and Wolfeboro, New Hampshire
Elizabeth started early in the morning; breakfast at Welsh's in Gorham, New Hampshire. At a table set away from Elizabeth and prospective voters, there was discussion among Jay, Adam, and Colin about a trip to the top of Mount Washington after breakfast. It was Jay or Colin who asked, "How long does it take to drive to the top of Mount Washington?" Our waitress replied, "About 20 minutes, if you know what you're doing," and went on about her business. It wasn't until later that she told us that the auto road was closed.

Elizabeth's first stop of the day was at Welsh's Restaurant, on Main Street in Gorham. I can recommend it for breakfast.

Breakfast and lunch only.

Elizabeth talks with undecided voters before breakfast.

A voter who's NOT undecided anymore.
After breakfast at Welsh's, Elizabeth headed south for stops in North Conway. I travelled on to Wolfeboro to reconnect at the Wolfeboro Inn.

Heading south after breakfast. Mount Washington looms somewhere up in the clouds to the right.

The Wolfeboro Inn for the last stop of the day.

Elizabeth meets with Andy and his kids.

Vanity shot by Colin; Sandy, Elizabeth, and my daughter, Melinda. Yours truly in back.
