What is a mailing list?
Simply put a mailing list is a one-to-many form of communication. When you join a mailing list all messages that you post (email) to that list are automatically sent to anyone else who is subscribed. Likewise, when you subscribe you receive all postings. You have the choice of responding, watching or ignoring and deleting the messages, just as you do with all other email messages.
How does a moderated list work?
The mailing lists here are moderated lists. The moderator of the list reviews all email messages before posting them to the list. The messages are reviewed only for appropriateness and language. Content, unless inappropriate, is not censored. The moderator does not control who may join the list, only the content of the messages posted.
How do I join?
Just click on the link below for the school list you wish to be on. You will be taken to a signup page. Simply signup and begin posting!
How do I post a message?
When you have completed the signup process a welcome message will appear explaining the address of the list. Copy this address and place it in your email database. To post to the list simply use this address as you would any other email address, your message will be forwarded to other subscribers.
