Shaker Kitten Heads - The Shakers developed the kitten head style fancy baskets. These baskets were given the name due to the fact that the basket sits on 4 corners resembling kitten or cat ears, thus the name "kitten heads". Shaker Cat Heads - Shaker "Cat Heads" (the larger version of the Kitten heads) are the baskets most synonymous with the Shakers. The baskets were given the name due to the fact that the basket sits on 4 corners resembling cat ears, thus the name "cat heads". Low Shaker Kitten/Cat Head - The bodies of these unique baskets are woven on the same molds as either the #5 kitten head (SKH#5) or the #6 cat head (SCH #6) but to only about half the height. The rims and single hoop handle are made of black ash, but can be made using birch upon request.
