The ice storm in December changed our plans for our annual Winter Concert. We apologize to all for any inconveniences that this created. The annual Winter Concert featuring the performing groups of The Bromfield School Music Department will be held on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 7:00 pm in the Cronin Auditorium. The groups that will be performing will be INSTRUMENTAL - including the Grade 6 Concert Band, the Grade 7-8 Symphonic Band, and the high school Wind Ensemble and VOCAL – Grade 6 Chorus, Grades 7-8 Chorus and High School Chorus. We anticipate the concert will be approximately one and one-half hours in length and will provide an opportunity to get a glance of an overview of what we are doing with performing groups here at Bromfield.
Please remind your student musicians about our concert dress. For LADIES, this would include the following: White, long-sleeve blouse; Black, mid-length/maxi skirt; and Black shoes For GENTLEMEN, this would include the following: White, long-sleeve shirt, Black dress pants, Black socks, Black shoes and Black bow tie.
On Monday, January 12, Grade 6 Band members should report at 5:45pm, Grade 7-8 Band Members should report at 6:15pm, high school wind ensemble should report for warm-ups at 5:30pm, Grade 6 Chorus members should report at 6:15pm, Grade 7-8 Chorus should report at 5:45pm and High School Chorus members should report at 6:30pm.
Mr. Reynolds and Ms. Mercadante would like to invite members of the high school ensembles to act as student leaders- assisting in the warm-ups of the younger ensembles and/or helping to organize students prior to the concert as well as during intermission. We would also appreciate any parents/students to help clear the stage post-concert.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Sincerely,
Thomas E. Reynolds
