Welcome to the Music Theory Page of the Music Department Website. We encourage you all to study these pages linked to a wonderful on-line music theory course developed by Gary Ewer in Halifax, Nova Scotia entitled "Gary Ewer's Easy Music Theory".

While the free courses are linked to in this website, the entire music theory program, complete with book and CD roms, may be purchased by going to www.musictheory.halifax.ns.ca and following the links to purchase. This includes instructional videos of all lessons, printed versions of all lessons, quizzes that go along with them, and answer sheets. It will give you a thorough grasp of music theory like you have never experienced before.
