Ongoing
Projects
We are very
proud of the work we've done to date to help local business and to fulfill
our role in the community. Many
times we facilitate the procurement of loans and other capital funds. We also
try to lend our expertise to situations that can make a positive difference
on the local economy. Below
and to the right are summaries of projects we have helped with and our first
award!

Award for Voith Sulzer/Commerce Park of Farmington project. The New Hampshire
Department of Resources and Economic Development recognizes Wentworth Economic
Development Corporation for excellence in Community Economic Development for
developing and implementing regional economic development strategies and programs.

We are assisting the Trails Rails Action Committee (TRAC) in the
effort to complete the 12.5 mile long multi-use recreational trail connecting
the towns of Wolfeboro, Brookfield and Wakefield along the old railroad bed.
This economic development project enhances and protects the intrinsic benefits
of the area while providing additional recreational activities for the area's
residents and tourist.

Kingswood Youth Center WEDCO is providing assistance to the Wolfeboro
Rotary Club with their Teen Center project. The former Church of the Nazarene
on South Main Street will be transformed into a building that will serve several
area needs. In addition to the Teen Center, it will be a site for the L.I.F.E.
Ministries food pantry.

SBDC We are a satellite location for local entrepreneurs to meet regularly
with Anne Getchell, USDA Rural Development Business Counselor. This program
is designed to deliver up-to-date advice, training and technical assistance
